Carol Service - December 2016

We held our carol service on Wednesday 7th Dec at 7pm and it was a great success with two cheques of £1000 each going to both Richmond’s Hope ~ a child bereavement charity based in Edinburgh and Bosom Buds for Scotland ~ a cancer support group based in West Lothian, both covering all areas.

Donna Hastings for Richmond’s Hope came along to receive the cheque on their behalf and tell a about the charity.  The money will gratefully go to providing memory boxes for children suffering through bereavement.

Linda Hammill accepted the cheque on behalf of Bosom Buds and the money will go to help organise pamper days or therapeutic courses for cancer patients.  We would like to express out thanks to them for coming along to collect the cheques.

A further £189 was raised on the night from the generosity of families attending and this will go to another great cause: Scottish Ambulance First Responders based in Bathgate but cover all West Lothian and Linlithgow areas.

The Rev John Povey led the carol singing this year and all enjoyed a catch up over light refreshments afterwards.

Many thanks to all for your attendance and support and we would like to wish you all a very peaceful Christmas!

Best Wishes from Carole, Darren, Jennifer & John
